The “Cuyo” Region, which in the indigenous language means “country of the deserts”, borders with the Patagonia Region to the south and comprises a vast territory made up by high peaks, snow-capped volcanoes, and the immensity of its crossings which go from the Andes and the pre-Andean mountain range to the steppe plain.
